李國平先生 Richard K.P. Lee
April 23, 1969 - June 9, 2014
Richard K. P. Lee was born April 23, 1969 at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. . Beloved son to father David Mang-Yung Lee and mother So-Lin Lee. Older brother to sister Jan Lee Chung and youngest sister Wendy Lee. Uncle to nephew Jonathan Matthew Chung, nieces Jessica Elizabeth Chung and Isabel Lee Gonos. Brother-in-law to Jerry Chung and John Gonos. God Father to Brittany Mark and Samantha Mark.
Richard passed away in his parents' home in the early morning on June 9th, 2014. He had a sudden heart attack after a very short recovering period from open heart surgery.
He was known as a caring and loving son, brother, uncle and God Father. He had many dear friends that all attest that Richard has been a loyal and true friend. Over his life of 45 years, he has touched the hearts of many, made a lasting impression and will be missed by all.
His favorite artist was David Sylvian, avid fan of the Simpsons TV series and Calvin and Hobbes comics.
He enjoyed travelling with his friends to many places like, London, England, Amsterdam, Las Vegas, Cuba, just to name a few destinations.
He was an amazing cook that his family and friends had the privilege to enjoy his culinary skills and the opportunity to spend quality time with him. He made assortment of amazing dishes like, Indian goat curry, scalloped potatoes, Italian pasta, pulled pork, and turkey just to name a few of his amazing dishes that we all salivate over.
He graduated from Ryerson Polytechnic University with a degree in Landscape Architecture. From high school, Richard worked part-time for the Toronto Parking Authority and after graduating from post secondary education he worked full time with WPS as a Senior Technician for 16 years.
Richard enjoyed watching the Leafs, playing squash with his friends, fishing during his free time, watching movies and TV shows, fixing computer equipment and most of all hanging out and spending quality time with family and friends.
All family members and friends are saddened by the sudden loss of such a wonderful and caring person that touched the lives of many that had the opportunity to know Richard in such a short time. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten in our hearts and memory.
