It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather Peter Andrew Evans, 86, on January 29th, 2026, at Mississauga Trillium Hospital.

Peter was born in 1939 in Niagara Falls, a place that marked the beginning of a life defined by ambition, loyalty, and strength. He had a successful career with the Royal Bank for over 40 years.

Peter was predeceased by Everyl Hamilton, his beloved partner for over 30 years, whose companionship and support meant the world to him. Together, they built a life rich in memories, laughter, and shared adventures.

Above all else, Peter was a devoted father to Paul (Barb), Susan (Nathan), and Lisa (Gord), and a proud grandfather to Austin, Alec, Rebekah, Lindsay, Logan, and Zachary, each of whom brought him immense joy and purpose. He will also be greatly missed by Aaron, Ferris, Alton and Otis and his nieces and nephews.

Peter took great pride in supporting his family, especially through their sporting activities, rarely missing an opportunity to cheer from the sidelines. A passionate sports fan himself, he loved following his favorite teams and sharing that enthusiasm with those around him. He also had a deep love for travel, always eager to explore new places with “her majesty” and create lasting memories along the way.

The family would like to offer our sincere thanks to the staff at the Trillium’s 3A Medicine Unit who provided Peter with excellent care.
