Paul M. Rutulis
November 25, 1960 - April 8, 2013
It is with profound sadness that Paul’s family announces his death on April 8th, 2013 at the age of 52. He was the beloved husband of Cara Scime, the loving and proud father of Troy and Marco, son of Mirdza and the late Maris Rutulis, brother of Maris Jr. Paul will also be deeply missed by his cousins Mirdza, Anda, Rita, his many in-laws [Carmelo and Lynne Scime, Mark, Andrea (Raymond), Don (Janet), Vincent (Anne-Marie), Alana (Micheal), Erica (Craig)], nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends can celebrate his life on Friday, April 12th at York Visitation Chapel, 160 Beecroft Road, North York. Visitation starts at 10 am. Service will start at 11 am. Reception to follow at 12:30 pm at Latvian Canadian Cultural Centre, 4 Credit Union Drive, North York.
Cara would like to thank my family, Paul’s cousins and our friends for helping make the celebration of Paul’s life possible and personal.
The family would like to thank Paul’s many doctors and support staff from Princess Margaret Hospital: in particular Drs. V. Kukreti, V. Jimenez-Zepeda, C. Zimmerman, P. Fitzgerald, A. Viswabandya and nurses D. Arones and D. Taylor. We would also like to thank Paul’s family doctor Alan Abelsohn for his help and compassion during this difficult time.
Donations in lieu of flowers are sincerely appreciated by the Rutulis/Scime family to either of the following charities:
