<div itemprop="description">PAUL ANTHONY DELANEY <br /> <br />With heavy hearts and profound sadness, the family announces the passing of Paul Anthony Delaney at Sunnybrook Hospital on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in his 55th year. Beloved son of Catherine, loving and much loved husband of Gina, brother to Nicola, extremely proud and devoted father to sons Evan and Ryan, brother-in-law to Jonathan and uncle to Joely and Sabina. <br /> <br />Born in Coventry, England Paul immigrated with his family to Canada at an early age, settling in Barrie, ON. Paul spent the formative years of his life excelling on the soccer pitch and ice rink, where only multiple knee operations could slow him down. Competitive instincts duly honed, a Economics degree at McMaster served as inspiration for Paul to earn his Chartered Financial Analyst designation and launch P. Delaney &amp; Associates to advise clientele who always appreciated his measured advice, in good times or bad. Always ahead of the curve, Paul led his peers into home ownership followed by cottage life on Parry Island, where he pursued his summer passion &ndash; boating the waters of Georgian Bay. Many a night passed with Paul at the head of a table, transforming a simple story into an unforgettable tale. This was his true gift to us all. <br /> <br />Visitation at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Visitation Centre, 375 Mt. Pleasant Rd, Monday, May 26, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass: St. Anselm, Bessborough &amp; Millwood Rds, Tuesday May 27, 10 am. Private burial to follow.
