PATRICIA MINNA BRIDGE SANTIN (5 August 1938 — 1 December 2015)

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, 1 December 2015, Patricia Minna Bridge Santin died peacefully at the Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga, in the wake of a brief yet sudden illness. At 77 years-of-age, this marked the culmination of nearly one half-century’s courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.

Born in 1938 to Margery Ora Bridge (Boland) and Thomas Henry Bridge, Pat was sister to Sharon Langlois (Bridge, sister-in-law to the late Guy Langlois), mother of Tracey Elizabeth Santin Beaudry (and son-in-law Michael Beaudry), grandmother to Tracey and Michael’s children Michelle and Matthew Beaudry, as well as aunt, great-aunt, and cousin to many others. Pat truly enjoyed all manner of sports and outdoor recreation, as well as her employment as a children’s physical education teacher, until the insidious progression of disease ultimately rendered her unable to continue with either activity. Pat took great pride in her beloved daughter Tracey and cherished the time she spent in her company, along with Tracey’s husband Michael and their children Michelle and Matthew.

Pat’s family would like to thank her many friends and the staff of Sunrise of Mississauga where she lived her remaining years, and extend a particular thanks to Pat’s close friends Maureen and Jim Pierce, who were always there for her, always available. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MS Society of Canada (http://www.mssociety.ca/patsantin) or to the charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated.
