It is with profound sadness, I am sharing the news that our beloved mother passed away on December 22, 2025.

While our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the beautiful memories she left behind and the knowledge that she is finally at peace.

Panagiota was born in the town Xirokabi, Sparta, Greece. Her parents were Petro and Eleni. Panagiota is survived by her sister Georgia, by her sister-in-law Evangelia, and also many nieces and nephews.

As a young girl, she attended school in Athens. There she acquired her skills to become an excellent seamstress.

In 1959, she came to Canada on her own. Later she was joined by her fiancé to start a new life.

She raised her children Konstantina and Steve, with great joy and love. She was deeply cherished yiayia to her grandchildren Nikki, Stephanie, Terry, and great-grandmother to Basira.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate a donation to The Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of Panagiota.
