Panagiota Eliadis
October 3, 1941 - March 31, 2015
Eliadis, Panagiota (Pitsa)– On Tuesday March 31, 2015 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Panagiota passed away after a brief and courageous battle with colon cancer. In spite of the challenges of her illness, she was determined to live her life with optimism and an unwavering devotion to her family who were the deepest source of her pride and pleasure.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years Charalambos (Bob). She will be missed beyond expression by her loving sons George and Michael, grandchildren Alexandra Katarina, Robert James, Paige Panagiota and Andonis Tony to whom she was a wonderful “Yaya”; two sisters Vaso and Nikki, brother-in-laws Nick and Lakis.
Panagiota was born in Sparta Greece on October 3, 1941 and immigrated to Canada in 1957. She will also be missed by the many friends she valued here in Canada and also in Florida where she was a proud snowbird for the last 17 years.
She was an active volunteer at the Laconian Society in Clearwater Florida, ensuring the masses were fed every Friday in their fund raising efforts.
The family will be receiving visitors at the Pine Hills Cemetery and Visitation Centre on Friday April 3, 2015 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Pine Hills Visitation Centre on Saturday April 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow.
