Surrounded by her family, Pam passes peacefully on February 26, 2026, after a short stay in the hospital, at the age of 96.
Widowed from her first husband, Frank Collins, and her second husband Jim Brodie, of more than 54 years, Pam raised her family in the West Rouge area for over 60 years after coming to Canada from England over 70 years ago. Predeceased by her beloved son Ron, Pam will be lovingly missed by her daughters Pauline (David) and Tracey as well as her grandchildren.
Pam was very proud of her 6 grandchildren, Jim, Emily, Culham, Kiersten, Shannon and Anthony, who will always lovingly remember her and who were all fortunate enough to be with her in her final days.
Although an only child, Pam had many cousins in England and notably Pam will be missed by her younger cousin Tony Ginn, whom she was close with till her passing and her nieces and nephew, Jacqueline, Lisa and Anthony.
Born and raised in the east end of London England, the War left an indelible mark on almost every aspect of Pam’s life, creating a resilient, determined spirit and appreciation for life, not often seen. Pam faced many obstacles and tragedies throughout her life, and she always carried on for the sake of her family, no matter how difficult the circumstance.
Pam was a hairdresser and enjoyed working in the West Rouge area before having children and continuing once they were grown.
A long-time resident of the area, Pam was a homemaker for many years and an active member of the Church, St Edward’s and later St Dunstan of Canterbury with the Outreach program, Meals on Wheels and the wonderful Crafties group where her beautiful knitting and sewing skills shined.
Pam was an avid reader, loved spending time at the family cottage and was always on the road to higher learning, self-improvement and self-reflection, taking sewing lessons, cooking classes, swimming lessons, and Bible study.
