Peacefully passed away on Wednesday
July 1st, 2026 in his 94th year in Lindsay,
Ontario. Lovingly remembered by his wife
of 66 years Carole, and children Cheryl
Quantrill (Steve), Dan and the late James.
Proud Papa to Kellie and Hillary (Tyler )
and Great Papa to Gavin and Brooks.
Predeceased by parents Dan and Alta
Climenhaga and siblings Geraldine Bailey
(Robert), Audrey Trefry (Edward), Arden
( Carolyn), Orpha Dyke (twin) and Mabel
Tait . Will be missed by brother in-laws
Robert Tait and John Dyke as well as
numerous nieces and nephews.
Growing up in Ridgeway, Ont. before
moving his family to Oshawa, Ont. where
they resided for 63 years. He had a
successful career with London Life
Insurance Co. for over 30 years before his
retirement. After retirement he cherished
endless days of relaxation at family
cottages on Bentley Lake and Paudash
Lake in the Bancroft area. He adored get
togethers with friends and family over the
years, loved his role as the BBQ Chef and
always ended with Stay...What's your
hurry ! Fishing trips with the guys , monthly
poker games and beer and wings
luncheons were never missed. Over the
past year he had settled into daily life in
the Lindsay area.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff
at Ross Memorial Hospital and Caressant
Care - McLaughlin L.T.C in Lindsay for their
care and support over the past few
months.
Visitation from 11:00am to 12:00 pm. with
service at 12: 00 pm. Luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to charity of
your choice would be appreciated.
