It is with heavy hearts and endless love that we share the passing of Olive “Ollie” Kathleen Gottschalk, a woman whose spirit, laughter, and light touched every heart that knew her.
Beloved wife of the late Robert George Gottschalk, Olive was the kind of woman you never forgot — honest, funny, and full of life. She spoke her mind, loved deeply, and brought joy wherever she went. Her laughter was contagious, her warmth unforgettable, and her strength an inspiration to all who knew her.
She was a devoted mother to Patricia (William) and the late Gordon, a loving grandmother to Lauren and Sarah (Patrick), and an adoring great-grandmother to Joseph, who brought her endless joy. Her family was her greatest treasure — she lived for their laughter, their stories, and their moments together.
Olive is survived by her siblings — sister Doreen (Mike), Frances (Arnold), and brother Richard (Shirley) — and by her sister-in-law Marie Gottschalk. She is predeceased by her brothers Wilf/Charlie (Betty), Garfield/Casey (Lucille), and Morton (Catherine).
Her happiest days were spent at the cottage, surrounded by the beauty of nature, flowers in bloom, and the gentle sound of birds nearby. It was there that she found her peace — in the quiet moments, in laughter shared with family and friends, and in the simple joys that made life so rich.
Ollie lived with passion, loved without hesitation, and left this world with a legacy of strength, laughter, and love that will live on through her family. She will be deeply missed, endlessly remembered, and forever loved.
Her laughter will echo in our hearts forever.
