The family of Norman Tapp is deeply saddened to announce his death at the age of 92. Norman passed away peacefully at Michael Garron Hospital with his family by his side.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Isabel and their two sons, Eden and Lloyd (Diane). He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Daniel (Heidi), Sara (Jake), Josh (Tess), David (Leanne) and Ryan along with his 7 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by 10 brothers and sisters and is predeceased by his parents and 6 brothers and sisters.
Norman was born in Kolar Gold Fields, India and became a teacher at the same school from which he graduated. He also helped coach the Cricket team at the same school. He later joined the American Peace Core as an Administrative Officer and was instrumental in the opening of the Bangalore office thereby generating some much needed employment for local people. He later transferred to the New Delhi office where he worked until he emigrated to Canada with his family in 1975. In Canada he worked for the Co-operators Insurance for 27 years and retired in 1999.
Norman enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also liked to cultivate roses, watch Cricket and western movies, listen to country music and was an audiophile.
