Noreen Marjorie McGinnis (nee Bawden) born February 12, 1938 passed away Thursday February 26, 2026.

She loved and stayed in constant touch with her extended family and many friends, and enjoyed her years of travel with her husband Tim, her work and her involvement with St Bart’s Church Outreach program which she continued to participate in even when attending services became too difficult to manage physically.

She started having serious health problems starting in 2023 but with the support of her family, her church, her doctors and nurses —and her dedicated and caring PSWs Joy, Afra, and Abby— she got to enjoy 3 more years of birthdays, Christmases, trips to the cottage in the summer and Thanksgiving dinners at the cottage with her family.

She was the proud and happy wife of Tim McGinnis, mother of sons Mark & Todd, Mother-in-Law to Anne & Tracy, grandmother of her grandsons of whom she was very proud, Patrick (and his fiancee Lauren) & Brian and his girlfriend Emma. She was also happy grandma to her “grand-kitty” a 19 year old orange tabby named Burnsey.

Noreen‘s Visitation, Funeral and Reception will all take place Tuesday, March 10. In a single location at Meadowvale Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Centre
7732 Mavis Rd, Brampton, ON L6Y 5L5.

FAMILY arrival time 9:30 AM

Visitation: 10 AM to 11 AM

Service: 11 AM to 11:45 AM

Reception: 12 PM to 2 PM
