It is with profound love and gratitude that the family of Nora Yin-Han Kwan announces her peaceful passing at home on May 6, 2026, at the age of 89.

Nora lived a life defined by service and joy. Born in Hong Kong, she spent five decades there as a respected and beloved educator, devoted to shaping the lives of young people. In the mid-1990s, she moved to Canada with her parents and proudly made Toronto her home.

Those who knew Nora will remember her for her spontaneous smile, her easy laughter, and her sharp eye for fashion. A true connoisseur of her heritage, she had a lifelong passion for authentic Cantonese cuisine, always finding the greatest joy in a traditional, perfectly prepared meal.

Her love, faith, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In keeping with Nora’s wishes in lieu of floral arrangements, donations may be made in Nora’s memory to the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation.
