In memory of

Nicholas Wayne Peter Biderman

February 19, 1975 - February 28, 2026

It is with bottomless grief, that the parents of Nic Biderman announce his sudden death on February 28, 2026.

Nic was a beautiful boy: charismatic, kind, talented. Because his mother was deaf, he developed an empathy for those who were different, and this was accentuated by attending a nursery school for disabled and able-bodied children. At the Institute of Child Study, he was always the first child to befriend a newcomer to his class, and was beloved by his teachers and classmates. Nic was a talented musician, and was often called away from other classes by his music teacher in middle school to demonstrate and perform on the double bass. He was a gifted athlete who also loved the hugging part of team sports. Nic graduated from the University of Windsor.

Sadly, all this potential for such a promising life was destroyed by the cruel disease of schizophrenia. We lost him to schizophrenia, and we have lost him again. Our grief - and love - are indeed bottomless.

He is survived by his parents, Bob Biderman and Bev Biderman.

We welcome donations in his memory to The Institute for Advancements in Mental Health (https://iamentalhealth.ca)
