It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicholas Alan Sentance on December 7, 2025. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all his family and friends.
Nicholas was born on January 29, 1995 in Toronto. He was happiest surrounded by the people he loved. Whether he was enjoying time with family and friends, working as a Crane Operator on job sites across Ontario, or playing hockey alongside his teammates, he had a way of creating lasting memories with those he spent time with. His authenticity, steady presence, and unwavering sense of humour always brought an uplifting energy to every moment.
Nicholas is survived by his loving partner, Kelly; his mother, Vicki; his father, Mike; his sister, Parkin, and brother-in-law, Logan and nephews, Hadrian and Damian. He is also survived by his grandparents, Dora and Nikolas; his aunt, Penny and uncle, Andy; his uncle, Nick; his parents-in-law, Ana and Joaquim; his sister-in-law, Daniela, and brother-in-law, Arlin and niece, Eleanor; and many loving extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen and Alan.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all who have offered support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Vaughan Rangers 'Nicholas Alan Sentance Memorial Fund'. All contributions will help under-privileged youth with opportunities to participate in hockey programming and support the Vaughan Rangers Scholarship Award. Your generosity will help continue Nicholas’ passion for the sport and provide others the opportunity to enjoy the game he loved.
