樂傅銀花太夫人 Ngan Far Lok
February 27, 1925 - April 26, 2014
Ngan-Far Lok, nee Foo, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2014, at Kennedy Lodge, Scarborough at the age of 89. She was born in a small village in Ding Hai, China, in 1920, ventured into Hong Kong with her baby son, May-Fung (Matthew) Lok in 1954 to meet her husband, Gui Poon Lok, and immigrated to Canada in 1975. She was predeceased by her husband in 1969, and has since lived a quiet, independent life. She has great faith and strength in character, with excellent wilderness survival skills during the Second World War, as well as prudent financial management abilities that she used to support her family. She is also a superb seamstress, making woolen jackets, vests and other clothing for her herself, her son, granddaughters and friends. She will be greatly missed by her son, May-Fung (Matthew), Lok, daughter-in-law, Doris Chan-Lok; granddaughter Corie Lok and her husband Christopher Baird and son Liam Baird; and granddaughter Areta Lok and her husband Sam Abdulrrazek and daughter Nora Abdulrrazek; and all her friends in Ding Hai, Hong Kong and Tai Wan. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to her entire medical and nursing team at Kennedy Lodge in Scarborough. Friends and family are invited to gather for a visitation at the Pine Hills Cemetery & Visitation Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Toronto, ON, Canada, M1K 5E4, Tuesday, May 8, 2014, 9:00 AM- 10:00 AM.
