Nelomedin “Nelo” Umadhay born on June 20, 1944, peacefully joined God on March 13, 2026.

Nelo was a devoted husband to Raquel, and a cherished father to his four daughters Loreen (Marvin), Jonah, Ranelyn (Rozmar), and Rachel (Patrick). He took immense pride in his grandchildren Tatyana, Trianna, Thor, Drax, and Gabe whose lives he brightened with his warmth and gentle humour. His loyal family dogs, Bella and King, were never far from his side.

Before immigrating to Canada, Nelo built a distinguished career as an electrical engineer, working as a project manager in Saudi Arabia for much of his life. He was a proud scholar graduate of Mapúa University in the Philippines, where he completed his degree in electrical engineering — a foundation that supported his lifelong work ethic and dedication to excellence.

After immigrating to Canada, Nelo spent his career in Mount Pleasant Group for nearly 20 years. He was an avid traveler. He had traveled to many corners of the world, near and far, from Philippines to Middle East, many countries in Europe, and Southeast Asia. He shared his love of adventure with his family, creating lasting memories which included numerous trips to the Caribbean, Europe and long driving within Canada and to different states of America.

Nelo will be remembered as a loving husband, a steadfast father, and a grandfather whose presence brought comfort and joy. His legacy lives on through the family he adored and the many lives he touched.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
