<div itemprop="description">It is with great sadness that the family of Naomi Engel announces her passing after a diffficult battle with cancer, on May 12, 2011. Naomi passed peacefully in her Toronto home surrounded by her loving family. She will be adoringly be remembered by her daughters Amoryn and Charis, her sons-in-law Kevin Warn-Schindel and Chris Kelly and the lights of her life, her grandchildren William, Harrison, Cooper and Findley, as well as Merrick Engel, former husband, lifelong friend and companion. Naomi is survived by her parents Assunta and Rosario Buemi, together with her three sisters, Barbara Elliott , Roseanne Jarvis and Susan Eickmeier. She was cherished auntie to Brooke, Denis, Kathleen, Olivia, Bianca and Chloe. Naomi left an indelible impression on the lives of her many friends both in Toronto as well as in Palm Beach where she spent her winters. She will be remembered fondly as a writer, actress, world traveller and bon vivant. A heartfelt thanks to Dr. John Bryson and Dr. Julia Ridley and nursing staff from PMH as well as loving nurses Michelle Hagle and Paula Charles and Dr. Russell Goldman who kept her comfortable in her final weeks.<br /></div>
