Nana, a woman of great strength of character is now continuing her journey with her mother, Naka. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband Gerry Diggins, father Fred Sasaki, brother Paul (Karen) and their children Crystal, Lori and Derek, sister Joan (Rick), mother-in-law Dorothy Diggins, sister-in-law Lynda Thompson (Jack) and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Thanks to Rev. Ken Matsugu. The family wishes to acknowledge the hospital staff and volunteers at Princess Margaret and Markham-Stouffville Hospitals and those who sent prayers and encouraging messages. Family and friends will be received at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & VISITATION CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Thursday September 5 from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 6 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
