Myra Florence Murdoch
November 26, 1925 - May 24, 2014
Myra Florence Murdoch passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon 24th May 2014 in her 89th year.
Though born 26 November 1925 in Birmingham, Warwickshire U.K. she also resided in Sydney, Australia, North Toronto, Elora, Ontario and finally Etobicoke, Toronto. The War Years saw her home bombed and evacuation to Wales, prior to service in the Women’s Land Army 1942-46.
Greatly loved she leaves her husband Arthur of 54 years, her sister Joyce Wilkins (UK), sons Andrew and David, their wives Sheila and Kimberly and grandchildren Heather, Andrea, Ian, Emma and Natalie.
Thanks and heartfelt appreciation is extended to the St. Michael’s Hospital Intensive Care Unit for their dedicated attention in Myra’s final week.
Donations in memory of Myra may be made to a charity of one’s choice or Storefront Humber Inc., Trillium Health Centre or St. Michael’s Hospital.
