曹陳合愛夫人 Mrs. Chan Oi Choo
December 12, 1932 - November 20, 2013
Died peacefully at Mackenzie Health, formerly York Central Hospital, in her 81st year surrounded by family after a courageous battle with respiratory illness. We wish to thank staff in the Intensive Care Unit for their compassionate care. Mom is survived by her beloved husband, Choy Yen, her children, Anne (Geary), Lloyd (Shirley), Lincoln (Judy), Lancelot (Tina), and Richie (Sophie), her grandchildren, Michael (Jean), Andrew, Emily, Lucas and Sheldon.
Born in 1932, during troubled times in China, Mom, at first, found a better life in British Guiana. Facing troubled times again, Mom found an even better home in Canada in 1972 where she settled in to raise her family and running the family grocery business, Westown Fruit Market in Toronto, for 21 years, until retirement in 1997.
Her grace and courage in overcoming all of life’s challenges was an inspiration to all her family. We will fondly remember her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mackenzie Health Foundation.
