MIRDZA ALIDA ARVIKO (nee Endzelins), passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Sunnybrook Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Toronto on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Arviko. Loving and courageous mother of Ilmar (Kara) Arviko of Markham, Peter Arviko of Toronto, and Dinah Arviko (Brian Higgins) of Charlottetown, P.E.I. “OMA exceptional” to Matthew, Erika (Trevor), Katariin, Joshua (Jasmin), Samson, Arleen, Eric, Lia, and Kristin. Great-Oma to her four darlings: Kaden, Kaleb, Adelyn, and Arleen. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their children in Toronto and Latvia. The family will receive friends at the York Visitation Center, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, on Monday, July 20, 2015 from 12:00-1:00. A celebration of Mirdza’s life will follow in the York Visitation Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with internment and reception to follow on site. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a memorial fund set up at St. Andrews Evangelical Lutheran Latvian Church.
