We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear Michael Gabriel Salvador on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Brampton Civic Hospital in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

He was the fourth of eight children born to Louvinia “Doris” Benoit and Hubert Salvador in the town of San Fernando, Trinidad, West Indies. Michael relocated to Canada in the early 70’s gracing his new country with many accomplishments apart from those in his home country.

Michael married Jacqueline Hepkins on December 30, 2007; however, they shared 26 wonderful years together. His children, Denile and Venessa enjoyed Michael’s extraordinary laughter-filled wit along with his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A man of many talents and accomplishments, technocrat, engineer, and musician were foremost.

Michael will be remembered for his love of music as a steelpan man, and co-founder and Director of steelpan bands in Canada. His passion for fairness will be remembered as exemplified by his founding of the Black Employees’ Association of Ontario Hydro where he advocated for recruitment, promotion, and retention of black employees; and his eternal interest in his community and never ending interest in learning will be missed.

The very talented Michael was a loving husband, father of two, and brother to four sisters and three brothers. Michael is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Salvador, and children - daughter Venesa and son Denile. He is also survived by three siblings: older brother Maurice Salvador, younger sister Agnes Salvador-Wickham, and younger brother Andrew Salvador; his uncle Rupert “Carleton” Benoit; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.

Family members who preceded him in death include his first wife, Denise Salvador; father, Hubert Salvador; mother, Louvinia “Doris” Benoit; older brother David Salvador; younger sister Margaret Salvador; older sister Joycelyn Salvador; and younger sister Marva Salvador-Arthur, and many other relatives.

Our dear Michael will be very much missed. In God’s blessing, may he rest in peace.

A funeral service for Michael G. Salvador will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Meadowvale Funeral Centre, 7732 Mavis Road, Brampton, Ontario L6Y 5L5.
