Michael Khan, aged 79, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Deeply loved and respected by all who knew him, Michael leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unwavering devotion to the people he loved. He was known for his infectious laugh, warm sense of humour, and remarkable ability to make everyone around him smile. Whether through a joke, a story, or simply his presence, Michael had a gift for bringing comfort, joy, and connection to those around him. A natural storyteller, he loved reminiscing about his life and sharing cherished memories with family and friends, often turning even the simplest gathering into a memorable occasion filled with laughter.
Michael was an exceptional Chartered Accountant, a profession he worked hard to achieve and one that brought him a strong sense of accomplishment and fulfillment throughout his life. His dedication, integrity, and strong work ethic were evident both in his career and in the way he lived his life.
Michael was a devoted and loving father to his sons, Steven and Philip Khan, whom he raised alongside their mother, Sandy Khan. He was a cherished father-in-law to Ella Khan and a proud and loving grandfather to Tiana and Hayden Khan, whom he loved beyond measure and spoke of with immense pride. His family remained the source of his greatest pride and joy throughout his life.
He was also a treasured uncle to his many nieces and nephews and a beloved brother to Jeanette Persaud and her husband Milton, Lynette Ramdeholl and her late husband Bill, and Patricia Forte and her husband Tom. He was predeceased by his dear brother, David Khan, and is fondly remembered by David’s wife, Sabita. He will also be lovingly remembered by his many cousins, with whom he shared close and cherished bonds throughout his life, and who held him in great affection.
Michael had a lifelong love for animals and found great companionship in his beloved dog, Junior. He had a passion for dancing, cooking, spending time in the sunshine, and sharing good food with the people he cared about most. He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and in creating lasting memories with family, friends, neighbours, and anyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
What made Michael truly special was the lasting impact he had on others. He had a rare ability to make people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for, no matter how briefly they knew him. Whether someone had known him for decades or had only recently met him, they were often touched by his warmth, generosity, humour, and genuine interest in others. He left an impression wherever he went and built connections that will not be soon forgotten.
Michael is now reunited in eternal rest with his brother David, his cherished parents, Haniff and Stella Khan, and his beloved dog Junior. Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. The love he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the kindness he showed will remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind. While we mourn the loss of a truly remarkable man, we are grateful for the years, memories, and love we were blessed to share with him. His legacy will continue through the family he adored and the many people whose lives were made brighter simply by knowing him.
