She met her final rest after facing years of illness with remarkable strength, unwavering faith, and enduring grace.

A Life of Grace, Hard Work, and Resilience

Born on April 15, 1941, in Westmoreland, Jamaica, Merlyn came from humble beginnings and grew into a woman of extraordinary beauty, kindness, and inner fortitude. At the age of 28, she migrated to Canada, where she built her life through hard work, perseverance, and a constant dedication to helping others.

Merlyn was a woman of many talents—she was an exceptionally gifted domino player, a phenomenal cook, and a warm, welcoming presence to all who crossed her path. Throughout various health challenges, including 18 courageous years of dialysis and four years residing in a nursing home, she never pitied herself.

Instead, anchored by her deep trust and belief in God, she made the absolute best of every day and inspired everyone around her.

Family & Legacy

Merlyn’s legacy of love, faith, and determination lives on through her devoted family:

• Extended Family: Her 17 siblings, along with a cherished network of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who loved her deeply.
