MARY JUNE OVERTON (nee McLeod) August 7, 1928 - September 8, 2015.
Passed away at Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital. Predeceased by loving husband George Overton and brother Ronald. Survived by brother Michael and sister Lynda, sons Shaun Overton (Laura), Steve Overton (Terry-Lynne), Ian Overton (Shelagh) and Rod Overton (Debby), grandchildren James (Judy), Daniéle (Dan), Christian (Megumi), Eric (Jill), Spencer, Alex, Alyssa, Kiersten and Connor and great-grandchildren Lillian, Anouk, Arden, Andrew, Sota and Shima. Sincere thanks to the caring staff of Extendicare Rouge Valley in Scarborough.
Born in London, Ontario, Mary June moved to Scarborough and then Pickering where she raised her family and enjoyed community work with the public library and was founding member of the Art Guild of York Scarborough and President of the Pickering/Ajax Arts Guild. A talented artist, June enjoyed sketching and painting. Her warm heart and quick smile won over all who met her.
Donations are requested to the Alzheimer Society of Canada Research Program.
