A memorial gathering and service celebrating the life of Mavis Florence Elizabeth Trott Simons, in her 94th year, of North York, Ontario, and formerly of Dock Hill, Bermuda, will be held on Monday, August 31st, 2026, at the York Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, North York, Toronto, Ontario.
A reception for family and friends will take place from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Toronto time (11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Bermuda time), immediately followed by the memorial service at 11:00 AM Toronto time (12:00 PM Bermuda time).
Mavis passed away in the hospital in North York on April 1st, 2026. She was predeceased by her loving parents Stewart Trott and Dorothy Hayward Trott, and her brother Walter Trott.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children Jeff Simons and Janna Phillips (Rembert); grandchild Chris (Mikey) Phillips (Mischa); and proud great-grandchildren Tatyana Molina, Theresa Molina, and Jada Phillips. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Germaine Trott, nephew Wesley Trott (Glenda), and great-niece Tiaze’ Trott. She will be deeply missed by her family, special cousins Phyliss Duncan (Clark-deceased,) Keith Duncan (Elizabete) and Kim Duncan-Lecoure (Grayson), numerous other cousins, and close friends both in Toronto, Bermuda, and other parts of the world.
