Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Palliative Care Unit on Sunday September 15, 2013. Beloved spouse of Suzanne Brisson, Sister of Michael (Kathy) in New Zealand, Step sister of Elaine (Gerry) and Pat (Glyn) and Cousin Helen. Remembered by nieces Meagan and Deirdre, nephew Dominic, Sister in Law Marie and predeceased by her niece Patricia.
Maureen attended Thistletown Collegiate and Humber College. She worked as a counsellor at Oaklands, WSIB and Toronto Business Development Centre.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Odette Cancer Centre for their dedication over the past 3 years and Sunnybrook Palliative Care Unit for their recent care.
Maureen will forever be remembered and loved by her friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kidney Cancer Canada.
A celebration of Maureen’s life will take place at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre (275 Lesmill Road, Toronto, Ontario, South of the 401, East of Leslie, 416-441-1580) on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the chapel. Reception to follow. Online Condolences may be made at www.etouch.ca.
