Mary Gregory (nee Mary Clymer)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loved one following a battle with Cancer, Mary Yvonne Gregory, with family by her side on December 30th, 2014 at the age of 88.

Beloved wife of Donald Gregory for 65 years. Devoted mother of Stephen Gregory (Phyllis) and Cheryl Gregory. Loving Nanny to Christopher (Bess), Beth (Steve), and Erica. Treasured Great Nanny to MaryAnne , Katie, Grayson, Eva, Jordan, and Jeffery. Predeceased by her brother William Clymer.

Mary will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by family and friends. Her warm smile and pleasant demeanor endeared her to everyone she encountered. She gave unconditional love and unselfish devotion to her family, the most important thing in her life.

Mum will be remembered for her warm personality, lively spirit, great sense of humour, passion for life, unbelievable memory, and the nurturing she gave to our family. She loved football, curling and soccer.

She will be remembered for her many talents, including knitting, baking, cooking, sewing and phenomenal cross-stitching.

Mum loved nature, “The Bog” and her garden was truly a work of art.

She also had a passion for music that inspired dance: Duke Ellington, Harry Belafonte and sometimes a little James Brown.

She often spoke of fun times working at Eaton’s and “The Bell” as well as her volunteer work.

As we share many memorable moments of Mum, we are comforted by the love of family and friends and strengthened by the tenderness, compassion and she has shown to all who touched her life.

We know she is with Grandma, Grampa, Uncle Bill, all her Uncles and Aunts who loved to sing and dance, and the pets she so dearly loved. Thank you for enriching our lives.

We love you Mum, we miss you, and hope you are deeply embraced by the Peace and Love you so dearly deserve.

A celebration of Mary’s life will take place January 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at:
Simple Alternative Funeral Centre
1535 South Gateway Road
Mississauga, Ontario
L4N 3M5
Tel: 905-602-1580
