<div itemprop="description">Mary Pappas, aged 54, died peacefully on July 4th, 2014 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous struggle with cancer. Beloved wife of Chris; loving mother of Allysa and Evan. Daughter of Helen and the late Spas Markoff; and big-sister to Nick and John Markoff. <br /> <br />Mary’s spark for life always took her on new adventures. Passionate about the outdoors and travel, Mary embraced new experiences like skiing the Alps and motorcycling across Italy. Most recently, she became an avid sailor as part of Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club in Toronto. There she gained many new, life-long friends, and explored the Greek Islands, the Bahamas, BVIs as well as the many ports around Lake Ontario. Her passion for life and generous nature will be greatly missed by all those she touched. <br /> <br />Special thanks to Dr. Danny Kornhauser for being not only a wonderful doctor but friend.
