<div itemprop="description"> <p> Peacefully and with great dignity Mary Ann Bloomberg (Perme), 82, passed away after a long period of illness on Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Meighan Manor nursing home in Toronto.  Mary Ann was born on January 13, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois.  She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Max-Louis Bloomberg - Mary Ann and Max met at the Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago where she was working as a young nurse and he a resident.  Together they established a large and thriving family practice clinic in the east end of Montreal from 1957 to 1997.  She was a wonderful mother to Sylvia, Natasha, and Jacob and his wife Louise and a much loved grandmother to Alexandra Hopkinson, Elia Bloomberg Araujo, Jefferson Hopkinson, Matthew Boutin-Bloomberg and Eric Boutin-Bloomberg.   She was a dear sister to Janet and Henry Warner, and Carl and Kathy Nolting.  Mary Ann will always be remembered for her gentle, caring and loving way as a mother, wife and nurse. Thank you to the dedicated and caring staff at the Meighan Manor.  A private cremation will be held with family.  In Mary Ann’s memory donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or The Salvation Army (see donation section on this site for the link). </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> Décédée paisiblement après une longue maladie à l’âge de 82 ans, au Manoir Meighan à Toronto, le lundi 31décembre 2012, entourée de sa famille. Mary Ann est née le 13 janvier 1931 à Chicago, Illinois.  Elle fût l’épouse bien-aimée de feu Dr. Max-Louis Bloomberg.  Mary Ann et Max se sont rencontrés à l’hôpital Michael Reese de Chicago où elle était infirmière et lui jeune résident.  Ensemble ils ont établi une Clinique de Médecine familiale à Montréal, où ils ont &oelig;uvré ensemble entre 1957 et 1997.  Elle fût une mère remarquable et laisse dans le deuil ses enfants, Sylvia, Natasha, Jacob et son épouse Louise.  Elle laisse également dans le deuil ses petits enfants adorés, Alexandra, Elia, Jefferson, Matthew et Eric.  Elle était la s&oelig;ur de Janet et Henry Warner et de Carl et Kathy Nolting.  La famille désire remercier l’équipe dévouée et attentive du Manoir Meighan. L’incinération aura lieu dans l’intimité de la famille. Vos témoignages de sympathie peuvent se traduire par un don à l’Alzheimer Society ou à The Salvation Army. <br /> </div>
