Mary Alldread
April 16, 1930 - September 21, 2014
After a very courageous journey, Mary Evelyn Alldread passed away in hospital on Sunday, September 21 with family by her side.
Mary was predeceased by her parents John and Caroline Olive Mayell. She was the beloved wife of the late Clarence Alldread. Missing mom forever are her children Glenn and wife Marion McGarrie of South Carolina; Sandra and husband Douglas Blackman of Ajax; and Dr. Ron McGarrie and common-law partner Lori McLinton of Oshawa. She was thrilled to be a cherished grandmother to Christopher and wife Mandy, Nicole, Alannah, Lindsay, great grandson Tucker and predeceased by Douglas. Mary was predeceased by brothers Charles Mayell, Ronald Bonsor and sister Sylvia Olive Mayell. Mary leaves to mourn many wonderful nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Arrangements entrusted to Simple Alternative, 1057 Brock Road, Pickering, Ontario
Visitation for Mary will be on Thursday, October 2 from 4 pm to 8 pm. A graveside memorial service with family and friends will be held at the Glenwood Cemetery, Ferguson Street, Picton, Ontario on Friday, Oct 3 at 11am.
Donations to The Lung Association in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks to James and Gillian Halsall and the wonderful nurses and PSW's that assisted in Mary's exceptional care. A special thank you to Sophie, Mary's furry friend that spent countless hours on the end of her bed.
