Mark Alexander Ronald Coltof of Oshawa, Ontario, passed away unexpectedly at home in the early morning hours of January 31, 2026, at the age of 40.
Mark lived with epilepsy throughout his life, facing its many challenges with quiet strength and perseverance. Although the condition often made daily life difficult, he met those obstacles with determination and courage. With the unwavering love and support of his parents, brother and extended family, Mark worked hard to build on his strengths and live life with dignity and purpose.
For the past two years, Mark was a valued member of the Kitchen Services team at Parkland Retirement Home in Ajax. He took pride in his work and formed meaningful connections with his coworkers, staff, and the residents he served. His kindness, gentle nature, and warm presence touched many lives.
Mark will be deeply missed by his loving parents, Ron and Kathy; his brother, Edward; his uncle and aunt, Paul and Debra Komaromi; his cousins Darryl; Jason and his wife Melina and their children, Liam and Ethan; and Dave and Monique and their son, Sean. He will also be remembered fondly by extended family in Holland, Hungary and Ireland, his many friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Mark’s bright spirit, kind heart, and infectious smile will remain with us always.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Epilepsy Durham in Mark’s memory. https://epilepsydurham.com/
