<div itemprop="description">Marion Jessie Burton Marshall was born in Black Cape, Qu&eacute;bec on November 30, 1925, and passed away on October 2, 2013 in Toronto. Wife of the late Allan Walter Marshall, mother of Gwynneth Marshall (Gary Korzenstein) and Burton Marshall (JoAn). Grandmother of Melissa Peterson (Patrick Tinsley), Rebecca Korzenstein (Nick Ramdhan), Allan Marshall (Rachel Maynard), John Marshall, and Jessica Marshall. Great grandmother of Cole Peterson, Emmi Peterson, Tristan Marshall, and Walker Tinsley. <br /> <br />She was the daughter of Raymond Burton* and Mary Ellen McLellan Burton*, and was raised by her grandparents Isabella* and Sidney McLellan*. <br /> <br />Marion was the sister of Woodburn Keith Burton* (Rita*) and Betty Burton Garant (Napoleon*). Sister-in-law to the Barbara Barnes* (George*), Gordon Marshall* (Kaye*), and Elaine Eddy (Brian). <br /> <br />Marion was a terrific aunt to many &ndash; Louise Garant, Marion Garant (Kola Deru), Joanne Bernard (Ron), Suzanne Garant (Mario), Margot Garant, and Jacques Garant (Kathleen); Wayne Burton (Gloria), Dan Burton, and Ken Burton; Allan Barnes (Joyce), Rob Barnes (Dorothy), Beverly Barnes, and Brenda Edwards (Warren); Ian Marshall, Scott Marshall, and Peter Marshall; Patricia Eddy (John Waldren), Andrew Eddy (Yvonne), Graham Eddy (Arlene), and David Eddy (Jacquie). <br /> <br />She is survived by her aunts Doris Steele and Marjorie Milligan. <br /> <br />Her special friends along her journey in life included Mattie Bujold*, Sandra Brennan, Shirley Ward, Claire and Ray Begbie, Eleanor Rasmussen*, Carol Milligan*, Grace Anderson*, Lillian Smith* and Chris Woodhouse. <br /> , <br />She was grateful to all the caregivers who blessed her with their patience and love - Enid Raymond, Veronica Thompson and the staff of Fisher Place at the Isabel and Arthur Meighen Manor. <br /> <br />She lived much of her life in St. Laurent Quebec, while never losing her connection to the Gasp&eacute;. In her sixties and seventies she spent her springs and summers in her cottage in Caplan, Quebec, travelling back to St. Laurent for the winters. She moved to Toronto in 2004. <br /> <br />Marion will be lovingly remembered by all those who knew her at the various stages of her life, whether as a teacher in Black Cape, mother and homemaker in St. Laurent, office clerk at Canadian Marconi, bookstore employee at Vanier College, bridge player extraordinaire, or resident at Meighen Manor. <br /> <br /> <br />* Deceased</div>
