In memory of

Marilyn Jane Patterson

February 3, 1936 -  November 1, 2025

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving children, Lori, Douglas, and Sandra. Marilyn was a lover of life - always adventurous and happiest when socializing with close friends or family. She had a love of and a passion for classical music, particularly Mozart and Beethoven and, often, she could hear her humming along to these classics or you could hear this music being played as she cooked away in the kitchen. Additionally, Marilyn loved travelling and ventured to many places including China, Western Europe, Mexico, and Great Britain. Marilyn also enjoyed volunteering and donating to numerous charities during her lifetime and was proud knowing she was making a difference in the lives of the underprivileged and those living in poverty.
In accordance with her wishes, a cremation has taken place. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre and Cemetery, 1591 Elgin Mills Road, East, Richmond Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

How wonderful to have shared over 20
Years with Marilyn as a close neighbour and friend.
We were born two days apart and Marilyn
Made sure people knew she was the youngest!
We shared time playing both bridge and scrabble
Which was pretty competitive!
I will miss her greatly!

Auntie Mare was a beautiful person - always poised, positive, and perfect. She was a loved and treasured member of our family and to lose her is a deep sorrow for us all. She will be remembered fondly for all of the beautiful moments and memories she was a part of during her years here. She is and will forever be considered an integral member of our family and we will miss her greatly. Until we meet again… xo
