It is with profound sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Marie Antoinette Guagliani on February 22, 2026.
Marie was the devoted and steadfast wife of Vince, with whom she shared a lifelong partnership rooted in faith, strength, loyalty, and mutual respect.
Marie was the beloved child of Etienne and Alma Marchildon. She was a proud and dedicated mother to Gabrielle and Joseph, and to her beloved daughter Gloria, who predeceased her. As a mother, Marie was unwavering in her guidance — offering wisdom, honesty, and encouragement in her own distinctive and memorable way.
Marie will be especially remembered for her remarkable sense of humour. She possessed a sharp wit and a natural ability to bring levity to any situation. Her observations were often clever and unexpectedly funny, and her presence brought warmth and laughter to every family gathering. She had a gift for reminding those around her not to take life too seriously, even during difficult times.
A cherished grandmother to Carmela, Raimond, Natalie, Vincent, Anthony, Luke, and Andrew, and a proud great-grandmother to Arthur, Sofia, Lucia and Robin. Her grandchildren will remember her spirited personality, her stories, and the lighthearted moments she created so effortlessly.
Marie was a loving sister to Paul, Raymond, and Denis, and was predeceased by her siblings John, Elenore, Yvonne, and Mark. She was a dear sister-in-law to Frances and was predeceased by Modesta, Clara, Maria, Alba, and Joe. The bonds she shared with her family were lifelong and deeply treasured.
A devoted aunt, friend, and caregiver, Marie was respected for her strength of character, deep spirituality, and unwavering faith, which guided her throughout her life. She will also be fondly remembered by the many children she welcomed into her home as a dedicated daycare provider, offering them care, laughter, and a sense of belonging.
Marie was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, resilience, dignity, and unforgettable humour.
May she rest in eternal peace.
