<div itemprop="description">MARIA ALICE FERREIRA October 30, 1925&nbsp;- January 17, 2012 On Tuesday, January 17th, at The Scarborough Hospital, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family, Maria Alice Ferreira entered into eternal rest. She was a loving and devoted wife of 66 years to Luis Ferreira who adored her and held her hand to the end. Remembering her with much love are her three children: Delmar Ferreira, Maria Funston (Glenn), Luis Ferreira (Marsha) and daughter-in-law, Ana Ferreira. She was an amazing grandmother and shared a very special bond with her five grandchildren: Mark Ferreira (Kelly), Richard Ferreira, Susie Barraud (Romain), Joshua Ferreira and Brandi Ferreira. This past year, she rejoiced in the arrival of her two great-granddaughters, Olivia Barraud and Cassidy Ferreira. They truly brought so much joy to her in her final months. Her family was her life and through her we learned that with hard work and dedication all things are possible. The wonderful meals she prepared so lovingly and carefully and shared with us will be cherished forever. We love you and will miss you always. Maria worked at The Scarborough Hospital for 20 years before retiring in 1987. The Scarborough Hospital has always held a special place in her heart.</div>
