Margos Ampagoumian
February 23, 1923 - September 11, 2014
It is with deepest sorrow to announce that Manoug (Margos) Mark Ampagoumian passed away peacefully in hospital at age 91 on September 11, 2014. He is survived by his loving family. Son and Daughter-in-Law Mr. and Mrs. Aram and Dianne Ampagoumian, Son Mr. Haig Ampagoumian, Daughter-in-Law Mrs. Nora Ampagoumian. Granddaughters Christine and Colleen Ampagoumian, Brothers and Sister-in-Laws Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Shake Ampagoumian and Mr. and Mrs. Benny and Hasmig Ampagoumian, sister Mrs. Marguerite Palayan, Sister-in Law Mrs. Armen Kololian, Nieces and Nephews Mr. And Mrs. Vahan and Susie Kololian, son Christopher and daughter Tanya, Mr. and Mrs. Yervant and Nairy Shahinian, daughter Hasmig and son Krikor, Mr. and Mrs. Raffi and Tanya Redjouani, son Rami, Mr. and Mrs. Vahe and Kisha Ampagoumian, daughter Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs. Chris and Lori Tutunzis and their children Isla and Alec, Miss Rose Palayan, and Mr. Vicken Ampagoumian. He was a devoted father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Manoug enjoyed reading biographies, watching tennis and soccer, enjoying the sun, and making the best of everyday with loving company. He loved to take strolls on Unionville Main Street, to socialize with his friends at the Tekeyan Armenian Association, but most of all he loved to spend time with his two granddaughters. He will be remembered as a joyful, positive, young hearted, and intelligent man who was loved by many. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 15th at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, 920 Progress Avenue, Toronto, ON M1G 3T5 (northeast corner of Markham Rd. and Progress Ave. south of the 401). Burial to follow at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Rd. (North of Sheppard Ave, west of Yonge St.) section 30. If desired, floral arrangements may be sent to the Holy Trinity Armenian Church or donations may be made to the church in Manoug’s memory.
