<div itemprop="description">In her 74th year, Margo died peacefully in Sunnybrook palliative care on May 23, 2015. She was predeceased by her parents, Peggy and Alan Hay of Prescott, Ontario. Margo leaves her beloved husband of 53 years, Paul, and her loving daughters Amanda McPherson (Doug), and Melanie Henderson and cherished grandson, Finn Henderson. Margo will also be sadly missed by sisters Tina Gray and Phyllis Hay, and nephew Adam Billings. Margo was born and educated in Ontario, and moved to London, England, in 1961. There she met Paul and was engaged within 5 days! A year later, they were married in Prescott and Margo accompanied Paul back to Sudan where he worked for Royal Dutch Shell. There were subsequent postings to Uganda and Kenya before returning to London where Amanda was born and the decision was made to move to Canada. Melanie arrived and they settled on Hillhurst Blvd. where they lived for nearly 40 years and Margo's love of family became her greatest joy. Margo's long time interest in music led her to membership of the then Toronto Symphony Junior Women's Committee and the formation of many life-long friendships and she will be remembered for her laughter and enthusiasm. Margo enjoyed summer holidays in Prescott and Biddeford Pool, Maine. She always loved traveling and accompanied Paul on several overseas business trips and in later years, there were more trips abroad, particularly to Hermanus, South Africa, where they often shared a house with Toronto friends. A private interment will occur. A reception in her honour will take place on May 28 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm at Mount Pleasant Visitation Centre (375 Mount Pleasant Road, east gate entrance).
