Let Us Honor Her Memory: Margareta Lebegioara

Margareta Lebegioara was born in Chișinău on December 15, 1938, as the first child
of her parents, Alexandru and Susana.
In 1944, she took refuge together with her family in Romania, where they settled in
Sibiu.
In 1963, she married Ion Lebegioara, and they lived together until her husband’s
passing in 1988.
She worked as a librarian in Sibiu, from where she later retired.
During the last twenty years of her life, she lived primarily in Canada, alongside her two
daughters and their families.
She leaves behind two accomplished daughters, Sanda and Emilia, whom she raised
and helped build a future in life. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, whom she
nurtured and guided.
She leaves behind sons-in-law, a sister, relatives, and friends with whom she shared
close relationships. All of them will miss her deeply and remember her often, having lost
someone dear to their hearts.
She lived a difficult life after the loss of her husband, becoming a widow at the age of
50, with her youngest daughter just beginning her journey in life. Yet her hardworking
and resilient spirit helped her overcome all hardships.
She was a mother always devoted to her family—a pillar of strength and a person of
trust. She offered unconditional support, care, and help.
She was cheerful and sociable, full of life, and always ready to help anyone who turned
to her.
At this moment of farewell, her daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, relatives, and
friends can only pray for her soul. Her memory will remain forever in our hearts and will
be passed on to future generations.
