It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Hanley Scanes, surrounded by her family on December 16, 2024.

Beloved Daughter of Margaret and Frederick Hanley (deceased)
Loving Mother to Adam and Ryan, Grandmother to Kassandra.
Beloved Sister to Frederick (deceased), Keith and David.
Sister-in-law to Carol, Dianne and Maria.
Mother-in-law to Vanessa.
Loving Aunt to Louise (Chris), Michelle (Brad), Sarah, Natasha, Megan, Emily, Cole and Liam.

She will be fondly remembered by family across Canada and the UK.

In Margaret's early years she was a dedicated runner, where she showed great discipline, resilience and self-motivation.

Margaret also loved procelain dolls, she had quite the collection.

Margaret had a wonderful sense of humour, she loved a good laugh and a good prank.

Margaret will be truly missed. May she rest in peace.
