Marg Peach passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, ON, after a 24 month journey with AML (Leukemia).
Leaving with fond memories her husband of 35 years, Peter Lister, daughters Emily, Kaitlyn, Marie-Claire (Maddie), her sister Ruth, cousins Sue, Barb, Ian, Robert, Cheryl and Anne, and a large circle of friends.
Born in Summerside, PEI, Marg completed her early schooling in Gander, NL. Her time at Mt. Allison University Sackville, NB, allowed her the opportunity to study French and language acquisition. After receiving her education degree at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON, she taught for several school boards in Ontario in the areas of core French, French Immersion Kindergarten, Music and Special Education (hearing-impaired children). Her friends and family always spoke of her “can-do” attitude and caring nature.
Special thanks to the team at Sunnybrook Hospital, especially the staff at C606 Complex Malignant Hematology, K-Wing nursing, and the staff on the Palliative Care Unit. Thank you to Dr. Chow, Dr. Selby, and Dr. Goddard for providing Marg with care throughout her health journey. Through Marg’s many visits during her 2 years with leukemia, she got to know the staff quite well. She was always grateful for their skill, knowledge, and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marg’s memory to Sunnybrook Hospital at Sunnybrook Foundation 2075 Bayview Ave., KGW-01 Toronto, ON M4N 3M5 Website: https://donate.sunnybrook.ca/tribute Or Phone: 416-480-4483
