Vivian May Ng-A-Kien
March 14, 1925 - August 16, 2014
Vivian Ng-A-Kien, 89, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2014 in Stouffville. She was born on March 14, 1925 in Manchester, Guyana, to Sylvana (née Spencer) and Edwin Russell. Vivian married Clifton Ng-A-Kien, and together they raised six children.
Vivian was an energetic and spirited mother, raising the family in Georgetown before moving to Canada in 1975. She loved to care for her grandchildren, to teach them right from wrong, and took pride in all of their accomplishments.
Vivian is predeceased by her beloved husband, and is survived by her children Lana [Desmond], Diana [William], Lauren [Terrence], Clive [Gail-predeceased], Marla [Robin], and Corrine [Ian], their nine grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters. She is survived by her sister Pearline and brother Hubert.
In Memory donations may be made in Vivian’s name to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
