It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Ruth Hudson, who died peacefully on February 4, 2026, with her beloved children, Scott and Sara, by her side.

Linda was born on December 15, 1952, in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. From her early years, she carried a warmth and steadiness that became a defining presence in her life and in the lives of those around her.

Linda shared 43 years of marriage with Bob Hudson, who predeceased her in 2019.Together they built a life grounded in family, connection, and care. She was a deeply loving mother to Scott Hudson (Carolyn) and Sara Hudson (Mike), and an incredibly proud grandmother to Robert John, son of Scott and Carolyn, and Temperance, daughter of Sara and Mike. Becoming a grandmother was one of the great joys of Linda’s life. She delighted in her grandchildren and poured her heart into them, finding purpose, laughter, and meaning in every moment she spent with them.

Linda is also survived by her sister Kelly Rolanty and brother-in-law Ed Rolanty, with whom she shared a close bond shaped by love, shared history, and many moments of laughter.

Linda worked as an ultrasound technologist, a role that reflected her attentiveness, compassion, and calm presence. Her path took her from Kirkland Lake to Toronto, where she eventually settled and made a home that felt welcoming and steady to all who entered it.
To her friends and family, Linda was loving, kind, and deeply compassionate. She was often described as the person others turned to for support, understanding, and reassurance. A true listener, Linda had a quiet way of making people feel safe, seen, and cared for. She was the heart of her family—their home base—and her absence leaves an immeasurable space.

Though her passing brings profound sorrow, Linda’s family is filled with gratitude for the love she gave and the life they shared with her. Her legacy lives on in the care she showed others, the closeness of her family, and the deep bonds she nurtured throughout her life.

Visitation and service will be held on Thursday, February 12 at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre,
1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga, Ontario.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by the service at 7:00 p.m.

Linda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
