It is with sadness that we announce Linda Chui Lin Fong passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 91, in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Born on June 24, 1934, in Kaiping (開平), China, Linda immigrated to Canada in 1958, first settling in Halifax before moving to Montreal, and eventually Toronto, making many lifelong friends along the way.

Linda had a keen eye for gardening, growing a wide range of flowers, large vegetables, and other interesting plants inside and outside the home.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Kee Chong (married for 68 years); brothers, Ken and Roy; sister, Betty; sons, David (Evalyn) and Danny (Connie); and grandsons, Michael (Michelle) and Jason. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jeanne.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Elgin Mills Funeral Centre (1591 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill). Family and friends are also invited to a visitation at the same location beginning at 12:30 p.m.
