<div itemprop="description">It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lilia Nikoloff (Branceva) at Wesburn Manor, Etobicoke on Saturday 4 January 2014 at the age of 93 years. Predeceased by husband Yordan (Danyo) Nikoloff. Proud aunt to niece Larissa Pereira of Mississauga and nephew Alex Markov of Medicine Hat. Loving greataunt to Julia, Andrew and Amanda. Predeceased by father Gavril, mother Alexandra, sister Todorka (Dora), and brother Stefan. Will be missed by her other relatives in Canada and Europe, and by the friends and former work colleagues that she touched during her life. Lilia was born in Vratza, Bulgaria in 1920 and trained as a linguist. She married Yordan in the 1958, in 1959 they immigrated to Canada. Lilia and Danyo lived in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for many years. Later in her life Lilia relocated to Toronto. In Canada Lilia re-trained as a bookkeeper / payroll administrator, she worked in this area until her retirement. Lilia developed a passion for travel, she travelled extensively to every continent except Antarctica, and also returned to and lived in Bulgaria for several years while she was in her 80&rsquo;s. Upon her return to Canada in 2007, she lived with her sister Dora in Toronto, in Sunrise of Mississauga, and in Wesburn Manor. She also had an appreciation for many types of music and particularly enjoyed classical and Bulgarian music and song. Lilia was an energetic, passionate, and loving individual who will be greatly missed but not forgotten. As expressions of sympathy flowers may be sent to the funeral home or donations made to a charity of choice.</div>
