Leonor Gonzalez, 96, of Oshawa, Ontario, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday July 21, 2025, following unexpected health complications.
Born in La Libertad, El Salvador on April 22, 1929, Leonor was the cherished daughter of Benjamin Rodríguez & Carmen González. Her life was one marked by quiet strength, deep kindness, and enduring love for her family.
In her later years, Leonor found great joy in the simple pleasures of life: spending time with her loved ones, watching classic black and white Mexican films, and listening to the timeless Spanish music of her youthhood. To those who knew her, she was a gentle, patient, and generous soul. Always giving, always present, and deeply beloved.
Leonor is survived by her devoted daughter Zoila Campos and son-in-law Oscar Campos. She leaves behind her grandchildren Juan, Ana, and Oscar, grandson-in-law Emilio, as well as her great grandchildren Alex, Angelica, Pablo, Isis, and Santiago, each of whom carries forward her memory and spirit.
A private and intimate celebration of life will be held amongst close family and friends on Saturday July 26, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly invites donations to the following organizations in honour of Leonor’s giving heart and lifelong compassion.
