Passed away peacefully on April 7th, 2024, at the Sunnybrook Palliative Care Centre after a long courageous battle with cancer and heart complications. Laura is survived by her husband of 35 years Brian Crich. She is the loving mother of Josh Lauder and Melissa (Matthew) Bradeen, and the adoring grandmother of Vivienne (Melissa), Scott and Jake (Josh). Laura is dearly missed by her brother Harry (Mary) Lauder and was predeceased by her brother Don Lauder and sister Mary-Ellen Schneider. She will also be lovingly remembered by her nieces Christa and Laura and nephew Ian and cousin Jim (Kim) Lauder.

Born in Windsor, Ontario Laura moved to Scarborough in the early 1970s. Laura earned her Honours BA at the University of Toronto in Drama and Political Science. Being a true Lauder, Laura had a natural gift for the arts and enjoyed being creative with painting, pottery and quilting, After spending years devoted to her children Laura became an Essential Skills Upgrading (ESU) Instructor at the TDSB. Laura loved her work and enjoyed every success her students aspired to through her mentorship.

The family would like to suggest that instead of flowers donations could be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Toronto General Hospital or Sunnybrook Hospital where Laura received such excellent care.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough, ON., M1K 1R1. Inurnment to follow in Pine Hills Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. All guests are invited back to the Pine Hills Funeral Centre for reception from 1:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m.
