Larry Little
November 25, 1938 - January 11, 2015
Larry Little
November 25th, 1938 – January, 11th, 2015.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Larry after a short battle with cancer. Larry, who loved to sleep in his bed, began his ultimate hibernation on Sunday, January 11th, 2015. Sleep well, sweet fellow. An avid gambler, Larry never gave up hope that he would one day hit that big lottery jackpot. Though that was not to be, when it comes to being surrounded by a loving family, he won the sweepstakes. He will be dearly missed by Hazel, his devoted wife of 26 years, his children Debbie and Mike Bodnar, Christine Little, Kim Little and Stephen Johnson, sister Maddie, niece Laura and nephew Scott Cameron, sister-in-law Diane Johnson and his grandchildren: Johnathan and Stephen, Justyne and Austin, Olivia, Zoe, Quinn and Teaghan. Larry, a proud 50+year member of I.B.E.W. Local 353 was a man of the people who liked to keep up to date with whatever was going on in the world. He religiously read the Sun newspaper, never missed the evening news and would discuss at length the ever-changing weather forecast. He was a kind and generous man and you could not have a more loyal friend than Larry Little. His many loves included travelling to Las Vegas, reading the latest Clive Cussler novel, playing cards with his family and watching golf tournaments on TV. Visitation will be at Pine Hills Cemetery, 625 Birchmount Rd Toronto at St. Clair. Friday, January 16th 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. Funeral service and burial Saturday, January 17th at 11:00 A.M. Following the service, we’ll raise a glass to Larry at Legion #22, 1240 Woodbine Ave to wish him Godspeed on this, his final journey. Let’s remember him as he was so often seen at the trailer: his beloved dog Delilah by his side, his ever-present glass of rye and coke in hand, the immortal music of Elvis Presley floating in the breeze: “Glory, glory hallelujah, His truth is marching on.” - As he drives his treasured golf cart off into the sunset.
