Kwei-Chun Soo, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Markham Stouffville Hospital from a heart attack.
Kwei-Chun is preceded in death by her husband, Keng Lee and her brother, Kin-Lau Soo, sister Kwei Fong in Hong Kong . She leaves her sons Yuk-Ming Wong and Wilson Lee; and her 4 daughters, Jacqueline Lai, Veronica Yu, Agatha Chung and Monica Chan; 1 daughter in-law Christina Wong; 4 sons in-law Ricky Lai, Brian Yu, Gabriel Chung and Raymond Chan; 11 grandchildren, Wallace Wong, Wilson Wong, Calvin Lai, Jeffrey Lai, Andrew Lai, Michael Yu, Dorothy Yu, Katie Chung, Brandon Chung, Sharon Chan and Shirley Chan; her younger sister in China and many close friends.
Born and raised in Guangdong, China on December 27, 1927, she was the daughter of Tin-Kiu Soo and Mei-Yee Lo. She moved to Hong Kong as a teenager and moved to Canada with many of her children in 1990 . She took great joy in helping raise many of her grandchildren, including Wallace, Wilson, Calvin, Jeffrey, Andrew, Michael, Dorothy, Katie and Brandon.
Kwei-Chun had a passion for playing Mah-jong with friends,Tai-Chi morning class, shopping with her daughters and cooking delicious meals for her family.
